## Frequently asked questions





Should I hold property in a limited company or personally?

This depends on your income, number of properties, long-term plans and personal circumstances. We can review your full situation and advise on the most tax-efficient ownership structure for you.







What is the 60-day Capital Gains Tax reporting rule?

UK residents must report and pay Capital Gains Tax on UK residential property disposals within 60 days of completion. This reporting requirement has been in place since 2020 and we can handle it on your behalf to ensure you meet the deadline.







Can I still claim mortgage interest relief?

Mortgage interest relief for individual landlords has been replaced by a 20 per cent tax credit. If you hold property through a limited company, full interest relief may still be available. We can explain how this affects your position.







Do you work with landlords outside Rossendale?

Yes. We support landlords and property investors across the UK using cloud accounting tools and remote communication, so your location is never a barrier.

















How has the tax treatment of holiday lets changed?

Since April 2025, holiday let income is taxed in the same way as standard rental income following the removal of the Furnished Holiday Lettings regime. We can help ensure your reporting is accurate and advise on how this change may affect your position.







Can you help with property portfolio expansion?

Yes. We can advise on the financial implications of acquiring additional properties, including financing structures, tax impact and cash flow planning to support your growth.







What records should I keep as a landlord?
